About us
TechBrick was founded by father and son, Paul & Dan Hopkinson, both AFOL (Adult Fans of LEGO) as a means of bringing to the UK market complimentary products to other UK LEGO Fans. During late 2017, TechBrick became SBrick UK Approved, and during 2018 will see further LEGO Complimentary Products both direct to fans and also supplying other Specialist Retailers. We are now UK Approved Resellers of the TrixBrix.eu compatible track accessories. Through 2020 and 2021 the range grew to include the amazing CircuitCube and also MouldKing PF Compatible Motors, Leads and Lights. Now the leading Third Party Specialist for AFOLs or technically AFOBs (Adult Fans of Blocks) in the UK, the growth of the MouldKing range to compliment our own love of anything LEGO on rails, sees a range of Locomotives, Rolling Stock and Trackside Buildings. Our search to offer everything to support fellow builders continues, with 2022 hopefully adding further brands such as CaDa, with their motors, lights and unique MOCs from paid designers from across the world!
2017 - TechBrick formed from the idea of developing the existing hobby business into stocking Lego, and the SBrick from their shop in Matlock, Derbyshire
2018 - Introduction of TrixBrix track to the portfolio in time to attend BrickLive at the NEC in November that year.
2019 - Our first year attending shows across the UK, following the closure of xtreme our retail shop in Matlock in January after 15 years after an unsuccessful application to add Lego to the shops products.
2020 - The business most successful year to date, some excellent shows before the arrival of COVID. Supported the Brick Train Awards for the first time.
2021 - Introduction of both Circuit Cubes offering a fantastic alternative for those wanting a simple yet versatile compact motor and control solution and also MouldKing following Legos removal of Power Functions products from sale. Continued our support of the Brick Train Awards and also the Lego UK Railway (LUKR)
2022 - Another year of growth, with an updated website, the addition of MouldKing Trains and also CaDa Pro Motors and Lights.
